13.1. Dijimo may under certain circumstances issue refunds for EFT payments made on purchases (in most cases when a seller has been blacklisted and Dijimo still holds your funds).

13.2. In order to request a refund the following procedure must be followed:

  • Send an email request for a refund to accounts@dijimo.co.za.
  • Include banking details: bank name, account holder name, account number, branch code.
  • Include a copy of the proof of payment.
  • We also require an affidavit confirming that you have not yet received the goods (this can be obtained from SAPS or can be signed by a Commissioner of Oaths).

13.3. Please take note of the following conditions:

  • A buyer may only lodge a claim 30 days from date of payment.
  • While we will endeavour to refund the full amount, this may not always be possible if the seller does not have sufficient funds available in their Dijimo account. You might not get the full amount refunded.
  • Refunds will not be possible if the seller has been paid out already.
  • Dijimo will not process refunds on behalf of active sellers. The seller will have to process the refund directly to you. Unless the seller is blacklisted on the site, the seller will have to request the funds to be paid out and then do a direct refund to you.
  • Refunds will not be immediate. Refunds are generally only done once a week, so delays may happen.
  • Please also bear in mind that, depending on who you bank with, transfers can take up to 3 days to reflect.
  • Refunds are not processed on weekends or public holidays.

13.4. If a seller has requested a payout already and the funds have been transferred, you would need to request a refund directly from them if the seller is contactable. If you suspect that the seller has acted fraudulently, you will need to open a case of theft under false pretences against the seller at your local South African Police Service office and no refund will be processed. Dijimo does not guarantee that a refund can and will be processed at any stage. Dijimo reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold a refund payout for any reason whatsoever.

14. Cancellations

By using Dijimo, you have agreed to the terms of use of the site, so all orders are considered legally binding. You do, however, have the right to cancel a sale within 5 days of placing the order as per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or in accordance with the ECT Act. You may request for your order to be deleted by the seller (as per the CPA) by using the ask a question support facility on the listing page.

Be aware that there are consequences for not concluding order or purchases. You may receive a negative rating from the seller for not completing the order, in line with our rating policy.

Please do exercise caution when purchasing items and be responsible. Sellers spend lots of time and money creating and promoting their listings and products. Not concluding a purchase causes an inconvenience to the seller in terms of cost and time, and the loss of a sale. It may also result in negative ratings against your account, which may affect your ability to purchase on the site.

15. Rating rules

  • Users are encouraged to treat each other with respect and to rate each other fairly.
  • Users might not be able to rate each other or to edit a rating after three months from the date of the transaction.
  • Buyers cannot rate a seller who has filed an SNC (Sale not competed) against them. If a buyer appeals the SNC, Dijimo will assess the situation. The outcome of the appeal will affect the buyer's ability to rate the seller.
  • Users may not utilize a friend's account or create a secondary account in order to raise their own rating or lower the rating of another user.
  • Threatening, abusive, racially vilifying, discriminatory or profane language is not allowed.
  • The feedback may not contain any links to other pages, images or information not related to interacting with the user on Dijimo.
  • We promote free speech, but reserve the right to delete any rating and / or feedback at our sole discretion.
  • If you feel that you have received an unfair rating or you have evidence of any abuse of the rating rules, contact us on information@dijimo.co.za and we will investigate. This may take weeks.

Dijimo reserves the right to disable (suspend) and Dijimo account if a usere has less than 80% positive ratings, Dijimo may also caution byers who are in the process of transacting with sellers who have been suspended.

Violation of this policy may result in a range of actions, including, but not limited to, listing cancellations/deletion, listing restrictions, suspension or restriction of your Dijimo account and forfeiting of Dijimo fees on cancelled/deleted listings.
